Dear President Trump

S. O. S. – SPEAKING OF SENIORS
DEAR PRESIDENT TRUMP
By Woodrow Wilcox

Here is an open letter to President Trump about problems with Medicare that are hurting senior citizens all over America. If you like and agree with what I wrote, why not copy this article and send it other public officials? Or, send an extra copy to President Trump at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, Wash., DC 20500.
Dear President Trump,

For almost 15 years, I have helped senior citizens fight mistakes and fraud in the Medicare system. I have saved clients of the insurance agency where I work over two million dollars. There are many problems with the Medicare system. I’d like a chance to tell you and the Secretary of Health and Human Services about all the problems with Medicare that I have encountered over the years.

But, with this letter, I just want to tell you about two major problems: government employees and government contractors are not performing their duties at a professional level.

The federal government pays billions of dollars annually to government contractors to provide communication systems that work well. But, the communication systems break down often. When that happens, important data is lost. Often, this results in Medicare supplement insurance companies NOT getting notice and information about claims. When the claims are not paid to doctors, hospitals, or laboratories, the senior citizens get bills that they would not get if the Medicare communication systems worked well. The lack of reliable communication systems causes senior citizens to be wrongfully billed over a billion dollars per year. If no one helps the seniors to fix the bill problem, the seniors pay the bills and are financially hurt.

The federal government pays billions of dollars annually to government employees or government contractors to process information to update senior citizen Medicare files. The new information should be updated within a few days or a week. But, many of our clients have not had their files updated for three to nine months. One client did not get his file updated for almost nine years. That is irresponsible and unprofessional work from government employees and contractors who are making billions of dollars per year. In private business, such sloppy work behavior would get them fired.

When the Medicare files are not updated quickly, the Medicare claims of senior citizens are messed up. The claims for secondary insurance payments never get delivered. Medical service providers send bills to seniors on Medicare because Medicare directed the claims to the wrong insurance company and never sent the claim to the correct, current insurance company of the senior. The result is that seniors get bills that they should not get. If no one helps the senior to correct the problem that was caused by Medicare, then the senior pays a bill that never should have been sent to the senior.

I would like you to discipline government employees and contractors to raise the performance standards so that fewer senior citizens are bilked of money while government employees and contractors continue to make big bucks from the federal government.

If you want to learn more about problems with Medicare so that you can help to protect senior citizens, contact me so that we can get together to discuss that.

Sincerely, Woodrow Wilcox
